Duration picker instead of Date/Time picker

Post by ahill » Mon Jul 02, 2018 4:00 pm

I believe it would be less tedious to go this route. eBay uses duration (ex. 3 day, 5 day, 7 day auctions) This only requires one click.

I also am afraid that with the option for customers to pick their own time, there is a perceived best time to end and many will choose the same ending date/time which could lead to to many concurrent connections on the sql server as everyone tries to get that last minute bid on multiple items.

Just a thought.
