wordpress download link – where do I even find it?
probably a dumb question but i’m getting conflicting stuff from google. sometimes it throws me to wordpress.com, sometimes to random hosting ads, and i just want the actual official download, like the .zip file for self-hosted wordpress. no “start your website in 2 minutes” landing page, just give me the files
i know it’s supposed to be on the .org site somewhere but the buttons are huge, there’s “get started”, there’s hosting recommendations, all kinds of stuff and somehow i still manage to miss the simple download link. am i blind or is it just not super obvious anymore?
so yeah, where exactly are you guys grabbing the official wordpress download these days? main button on the homepage? a specific /download page? just want to make sure i’m not installing some sketchy repack from a random site.
