This article describes the main hooks that the sitemile theme framework comes with, and gives you an idea about what each other is doing and when to call them in wordpress.
sitemile_before_loop
called before the main loop of each page. Very good if you want to add a header or a title of some sort to your loop, eg: Latest Posts
sitemile_loop
the actual loop function, good for adding more posts or replacing the post type with a custom one
sitemile_after_loop
called just after the main loop of each page. Very good if you want to let’s say pagination to your loop (wp-pagenavi)
